In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Chicago; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Illinois are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 amโ€“9 pm. It is closed on Wednesday. Very good noodle spot in Chinatown! Always make sure to get their hand pulled noodles. Iโ€™ve had some of their soup noodles, but I always return to their Zhajiang noodles - black bean sauce with pork and cucumbers. Donโ€™t forget to stir up the noodles and sauce all together, thatโ€™s a key part of eating this dish. The flavor is very authentic to Beijing style Zhajiang noodles. And itโ€™s usually not as busy as other nearby restaurants, but just as good!

Fantastic food at decent prices. The hand pulled noodles are a real treat and the portion sizes are fantastic! Great beef brisket and the ribs are delectable. Absolutely worth a trip out to China Town.

The taste is average, but the employees' attitude is unfriendly. Because of that unkindness, the ordinary taste of food was like trash. 1. Noodle: undercooked 2. Soup: Bland. The broth of the existing Chinese noodles was based on a rich beef bone broth, but the noodles were terrible. A restaurant that gives unfinished food and demands tips, even though the service is not good. Overall, it was terrible, so I didn't give a tip and calculated, but there wasn't a single greeting or word. A restaurant that wouldn't be strange even if it fails. I think homemade instant noodles would taste better.

The place was busy but service was quick. The food we ordered came impossibly fast. The soup dumplings were good but they were not your stereotypical soup dumplings โ€” they were huge and flavorful but not soupy, more like baozi. The mala pig ears and the pickled cucumbers were, in contrast, not flavorful at allโ€ฆas if they havenโ€™t been marinaded long enough. The crispy pork intestines also had no flavor. We enjoyed the noodles dishes and the portions were good as were the prices.

A pretty good noodle house in Chicago Chinatown. The cream cheese wontons were killer. I also got a black bean noodle sauce and it was pretty good but all in all Iโ€™ve had better noodles. They were definitely homemade though, and on a cold day itโ€™s an excellent spot. It also wasnโ€™t busy and there were lots of tables so it was easy for us to get served fast. All in all a good spot to try if youโ€™re having a craving for noodles and are in the area.
